HOW TO USE YOUR FACE ROLLER & GUA SHA
1. Prep Your Skin
Start with a clean face. Apply 3–5 drops of your chosen Happy Oils UK Face Oil for smooth glide and deeper absorption.
2. Begin With the Neck
Always start and end at the neck for proper lymphatic drainage.
Sweep upwards from the collarbone to the jawline. Repeat 5–10 times each side.
3. Sculpt the Jawline
Roll or sweep from the chin toward the ear in slow, firm, upward motions.
This helps define the jaw and release tension from teeth clenching.
4. Lift the Cheeks
From the side of the nose, glide outward toward the temples.
This boosts circulation and adds a lifted appearance to the cheeks.
5. Under-Eye De-Puffing
Use the small roller end or the curved edge of your gua sha.
Start at the inner corner, sweep outward toward the temples.
Gentle pressure only — this area is delicate.
6. Smooth the Forehead
Roll or sweep upward from brows to hairline.
For gua sha, use slow strokes across the brow bone to relieve frown tension.
7. Finish With the Neck
Guide everything downwards from jaw to collarbone to complete the drainage cycle.
8. Clean Your Tools
Wash with warm soapy water after each use.
Towel dry. Store safely.
TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS
Apply enough oil — more than you think: If the tool drags or pulls, that’s friction, and friction can irritate the skin. Use a generous amount of face oil to support smooth, safe gliding.
Warm the gua sha, chill the roller:
• Warm gua sha melts tension and is great for jaw work and headaches.
• Cold roller gives instant de-puffing and pore-tightening.
• A dynamic duo.
Work slowly — not quickly: Slower strokes activate the parasympathetic nervous system, increasing relaxation and draining more effectively.
Use upward, outward motions only: These follow your skin’s natural drainage pathways. Downward motions on the face can push fluid back where you don’t want it.
Hold the skin with your other hand: This anchors and prevents unnecessary pulling, especially around the eyes and cheeks.
Consistency over force: 3–5 minutes a day outperforms 20 minutes once a week. Think daily ritual, not occasional workout.
Morning vs night strategy:
• Morning reduces puffiness and refreshes the complexion.
• Night releases tension, relaxes muscles, and supports product absorption.
