Hi, I’m Patricia Achish, Founder & Formulator of Happy Oils UK. I am a UK-trained nurse with 13 years of clinical experience. I saw firsthand how stress ravages our skin as well as our mental and emotional well-being.
I am also a Bipolar & Mental Health Advocate with lived experience of trauma, mania, psychosis, and depression. Happy Oils UK was actually born during my first episode of Mania, a symptom of Bipolar Disorder.
When I was introduced to the power of Botanical Oils to help my baby sleep, it worked like a miracle. I could not believe the effectiveness of Aromatherapy.
And this inspired me and triggered intensive research and experimentation on the different benefits natural oils can do not only to the emotional and mental wellbeing through the olfactory senses but also to the physical and cosmetic benefits when directly applied to the skin.
With my Bipolar Relapses, I suffer cyclical hormonal and chemical changes that affect my skin, scalp, and hair health. I constantly shed hair and have acne break outs. Which led my research to botanical formulation for cosmetic and emotional and mental wellbeing. Because I believe that beauty is the result of self love that comes from consistent self care which is directly linked to our emotional and mental wellbeing.

When I am on either side of my polar moods, whether manic or depressed, I experience physical, emotional, and psychological stress because of the lack of sleep and many other symptoms...

My products have been well received by my community and market. In just 6 months from relaunching, Happy Oils UK sold over 1,000 products with 100% five-star reviews.
The Happy Oils Community is continuously growing on line and within my local community in Bracknell and my social community in London. With over 1500 combined followers
and roughly 33,000 views per month across all platforms, 57% of which is from the UK.
We’ve already shipped globally to countries such as Canada, Norway, Spain, Australia, Hong Kong, and Philippines. Particularly, my first Canadian customer actually found my Hair Oil because ChatGPT recommended my Brand when she asked about which Hair Oil has all the best ingredients for Hair Growth.
And the most fulfilling and rewarding part of Happy Oils UK is when I go out into the community, meet my customers, and influence them to do more self care.
I met April at my very first Pop Up Event before my launch where I was giving away free samples and promoting my brand within my local community. I spoke to her about how I started Happy Oils UK to help myself stay consistent with self care just after giving birth because mothers tend to forget to care for themselves and concentrate on their babies. That same day, she messaged me how my story has made her realise that she has not been taking care of herself since giving birth and nearly cried during our conversation.
Months later when she finally got to purchase my full sized products, she said she tried other Hair Oils while she was waiting for the launch of my products but she said it was not the same and she was so happy she could finally use Happy Oils UK Hair Oils again.
Some of Happy Oils UK's achievements that I am so proud of is placing 12th on the UK Small Business Awards in Beauty Business and also placed Top 89 on Home Based Business
Nationally in the UK with a Highly Recommended plaque awarded.
And just recently Happy Oils UK has raised more than £1,400 for Bipolar UK on World Bipolar Day by donating products for Raffle and purchase as well as 12% of all profits in March.
The campaign ended with showcasing information about Bipolar Disorder and Bipolar UK as well as meeting and connecting with locals suffering from Bipolar Disorder.
With the continued stable growth of Happy Oils UK, we are ready to scale.
Our roadmap includes strengthening operational foundations by expanding my team and resources as well as implementing systems and improving margin and marketing structures.
We are ready to move from a local gem to a national wellness staple by starting and nurturing B2B partnerships with boutiques, spas, clinics, and beauty or wellness professionals by offering wholesale retail, corporate and event gifting, and in treatment product use.
And with this ambitious goal, Happy Oils UK will continue to elevate brand presence online and within communities across the UK by continuously attending Market Pop Ups and Community Events, Collaborations with other businesses, Connecting with customers through social media and emails, and affirming our advocacy focusing on our brand mission and goal to promote Self Care.
